Why attend an ABA summer intensive?
ABA utilizes the traditional Russian Vaganova method in which some of the greatest ballet dancers such as Nureyev, Makarova, Baryshnikov, Zakharova, and Osipova were trained.
Summer Intensive students who wish to attend ABA Professional Training Program will be carefully evaluated for the year-round programs.
Classes are kept small so that serious dancers ages 12-20 receive the finest quality ballet training.
Classes will be taught by our professional ABA faculty and well known guest teachers.
Each student is given an opportunity to learn solo variations, group pieces, character dances and contemporary choreographies to be performed on stage for the public at the end of the intensive
“Training at the Akhmedova Ballet Academy for the past three weeks has been one of the best experiences of my life. The faculty there is incredible and provides amazing classes. The teachers are focused on your growth as a student and give you individualized hands-on corrections. I have loved trying new classes the past few weeks such as mime, and character. Taking Pilates every day has made me stronger and it has improved my stamina. I have also loved learning variations from multiple different ballets. I have felt so much improvement in my technique and classical training these past three weeks.” ~ Abigail Moser
