The “Akhmedova Ballet Studio Company”
This new apprentice program is for young dancers age 18-22. These young professionals will train Monday through Saturday morning. Additionally they will have contemporary and Pilates classes and will rehearse with the PTP students in preparation for ABA productions in the afternoons. They will perform in outreach shows and at our winter and spring shows.
This program can be joined for a maximum of 3 years. ABA will help those dancers with their resumes, videos and photos before auditioning for professional companies as well as career advice and problem solving in the very difficult job market. Mme. Akhmedova will personally advice and work with each dancer in choosing the best places to audition for companies. She will stay involved in the process of finding the right path for each student and help with recommendation letters and follow ups.
Acceptance to this program is by audition only.
Dancers should have a strong background in ballet.
The goal of this program is to give young dancers who graduated and finished their academic schooling to continue their ballet education in a safe and family like environment with personal attention and guidance to achieve their dreams while performing and being exposed to a wide variety of audience.
The cost for this program is free of charge. There is a one time administrative fee per year. Dancers are required to volunteer and help with younger kids classes at no charge if needed. Dancers need to buy their own pointe shoes and ballet attire. Dancer will be able to use ABA professional costumes for their shows. Housing is not included.
