My husband, Logan Hillman 🥰

I’m going to see Beyoncé in concert in May, so I’ve been listening to her Cowboy Carter album on repeat.
Least favorite dance step?
Lame duck (still 😅)
How do you like to spend your time outside of dance?
I love spending quality time with my pets (2 cats and 1 dog) and my husband! We love to play board games and go on hikes together. I also love to go thrifting!
Best place to hang out in your company’s home city?
I love to go to our local Jazz club, Noce, on the weekend! It’s a beautiful space with beautiful music - makes for a wonderful escape during our off time.

ABOUT Amelia Hillman
Amelia Grubb Hillman has called Iowa home since joining Ballet Des Moines as a company dancer in 2016. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, she completed her training on scholarships at the Kirov Academy of Ballet and the Akhmedova Ballet Academy. In addition to her career with BDM, Amelia has performed with English National Ballet, Richmond Ballet, the Washington Ballet, Columbia Classical Ballet, and National Choreographer’s Initiative. Some of her most cherished moments on stage have been in the role of Cinderella, the role of Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ma Cong’s Screaming Silence, and performing Christopher Wheeldon’s Je Ne T’aime Pas with her husband, Logan Hillman.
