Peter and the Wolf
ABA presents the ballet of the exciting story of the hungry wolf, the ill-fated duck, the fortunate cat, the fearless little bird, and brave Peter, who helps save his friends from the wolf's jaws - and saves the wolf from the hunters' guns. Each character in the story is represented by a melody played by a different instrument. Written in 1936, Sergei Prokofiev's symphonic folk tale has enchanted generations of children and adults. Choreographed by Jessica Novakovich.

The Akhmedova Ballet Academy is offering a special performance for Elementary and Middle School students to watch “The Mini Nutcracker”, on Saturday December 14th at 3:00pm at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center, Silver Spring.

Join us for a magical evening of enchantment at the Mini Nutcracker! This in-person event will be held at the Cultural Arts Center, Montgomery College. The Akhmedova Ballet Academy is offering a special performance for Elementary and Middle School students to watch “The Mini Nutcracker”, on Saturday December 16th at 2:30pm at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center, Silver Spring. It will be a forty-five-minute production full of the most exciting moments of the Christmas classic show and a photo shoot with the dancers afterwards. This is a wonderful performance especially created for Montgomery County school students to introduce the art of dance and music in a fun and interesting way at the discounted price of five dollars. Students can interact with our dancers and ask questions. A dancer will explain each dance to our young audience in an educational and engaging way that will be memorable and impressive. Students will see excerpts of the classic dances such as the mice scene and the dolls in the land of sweets.

ABA premieres the ballet “The Fairy Doll”. The story is set in a toy shop where all dolls miraculously come to life. The Fairy of all dolls invites everybody to a ball. Originally, premiered at the Vienna State Opera in 1888 as “Die Puppenfee”, this ballet is a feast for the eyes and the soul and a delight for all ages.
